                “HEBREW IN SONG” is a collection of 21 original songs for children composed by Ronit Ben-Arie. Ronit is a Hebrew teacher, Composer and Expressive Arts therapist, who specializes in teaching Hebrew through the arts. These songs are in Hebrew and English and introduce children to simple Hebrew words and phrases as a way to teach Hebrew vocabulary and grammar as well as provide information about Jewish celebrations and customs and the Jewish year. Topics include Shabbat and holidays, custom greetings and activity directions, fruit, vegetables, colors, seasons, clothing, and objects.

               “MORE HEBREW IN SONG” is a collection of 15 original songs for children, and melodies, composed by the Hebrew teacher and Composer Ronit Ben-Arie. All songs teach contemporary Hebrew and were written out of need to enrich Hebrew and Music curriculums. The songs relate to the young Jewish child’s life, life cycle events and daily topics. The CD consists of songs such as: Shir HaPanim which teaches facial parts, ShiraZugot which teaches body parts in pairs, singular and plural, Shir HaYamim which provides a connection between numbers and the Hebrew days of the week, Shir HaMisparim which teaches counting and adding in Hebrew, etc. The melodies in this CD can be sung with prayers or used as background music for nap or activity time. In the CD we enjoy the lovely voices of Elana Carmel-Levy, Joel Frankel, and the internationally renowned Cantor Alberto Mizrachi. The CD is creatively orchestrated with the help of the following outstanding musicians: Stuart Rosenberg, Barbara Wertico and Paul Wertico.

               “ROUTINE OF HEBREW” is a workshop for teachers and parents. Ronit Ben-Arie presents the routine discussion in Hebrew she created in her many years as a Hebrew teacher. Ronit’s teaching method is based on the use of the different senses in diverse artistic activities. The use of music, creative movement, drama, art, and games enables the child to combine different brain channels in the Hebrew learning process, and therefore is a basic foundation in Ronit’s’ routine. Another important component is the use of humor as a wonderful tool for memorizing and retrieving vocabulary.





     RONIT BEN-ARIE, (M.A) is an active teacher, Teachers’ teacher, presenter and speaker. Ronit holds BA in Special Education and Creative Arts, Senior Teacher Certificate, and MA in Expressive Arts Therapies. She is a former army officer in Israel, award winning composer in America, Expressive Arts Therapist and a teachers’ advocate. Ronit developed a Kindergarten curriculum which teaches Hebrew through Music, Movement, Art, and games. This curriculum serves both Solomon Schechter Schools in the Metropolitan of Chicago. The curriculum has been used already for thirteen years. Ronit teaches Kindergarten in both schools. She is the author and composer of the nationally acclaimed “Hebrew in Song”.
